Closing in on the year-sum up.

I can't believe 2011 is coming to a close. It has been one crazy up and down year. Dancing was a big part of it. I met Rich in March. I learned how to salsa, bachata, merengue.  Rich had taught me bachata and merengue. I got to dance salsa Easter sunday at a Greek restaurant with Rich and Flo. That was fun-never thought I would do that. That was the first time it got hot this year and it seemed to be a pattern that every time we would salsa-it would be extremely hot. There's a t-shirt at a studio that says, "I don't bachata on a first date." That's what happened with me and Rich. ;) We shouldn't have bachated. I still get frustrated that I got so close, but at the same time, not every girl can have a dance partner come in from Boston and get to go out dancing. I also learned balboa and got to do the argentine tango one night.

I also got my cat Henry. January 9th is when I got him. He's saved me so many times. I've learned his quirks. He likes to get up on the couch on my right side most of the time. He always has to meow when doing it. He likes to talk and says hi and bye. He likes to get after my tree which I think is probably done. He's the best movie buddy to curl up with. He loves water and constantly has to be by the faucet when it runs. What I love most about him is that he watches over me.

Several key people in my life left with in a couple of months of each other. First Tom and Caitlin (dance instructors), I was kind of expecting it, but it happened pretty suddenly. Then my boss left and finally Rich. It's going to be interesting to see why these all happened. It was very interesting all of these happened hardly without warning.

I met my new small group this year. I'm liking the group. It's going to be interesting to see how we all connect. They've been very consistent and it's been helping through the changes.

I'm excited and nervous to see what 2012 is going to bring. Happy New Year.
