A Puzzling Quote

A few months ago, someone liked a phrase on facebook basically saying that they would be happier to see their ex with someone uglier than the person that they were with. Really?? I think I would rather see them with someone prettier. I guess it really depends on the situation and what happened, but overall, I think I would liked to think they had upgraded a little. I would constantly wonder why they would choose the uglier person over me if that were to ever happen. Thoughts? I just keep thinking about that quote and not sure why it bothers me.
