Monuments Men

Kristen and I went to see Monuments Men. I enjoyed the film. I learned a lot of history that I didn't know. You knew that Hitler had confiscated art, but didn't know what he did with it. It was very maddening to see piled up and could very likely be burned up. I enjoyed the film for all the actors that were together like Bill Murray, John Goodman, George Clooney, and Matt Damon.

I was especially pleased with Bill Murray's character in just how much he's grown as an actor. He brought out a much needed element of humor in the movie. It's so tense not knowing if someone was going to get killed or not. I thought George did the killing scenes tastefully. It was eye opening to think that a ten year old kid was recruited to kill people. The hardest scene was when they came across a horse in a field. I thought for sure one of the characters and the horse were going to get killed just because the horse was beautiful.

So the week before, I sat through the movie Wolf with everything thrown at me. They just made the character so blatantly without a moral compass that it didn't really matter what you saw or heard, but when Matt Damon's character was alone with a woman and all the tension I had to leave for a few minutes. I couldn't handle the thought of his good character to think about cheating. Plus, with it being the night before Valentine's day, made it a little rough too. I'm never going to find anyone.

All in all, it's a worth the view.
