Boy, I was never geared up so much as this year's Oscars! I'm thankful for an aunt and uncle across the street to let me use their TV to watch it live and that I could message my friend Stacie during it! It was so weird seeing it in HD. I thought Ellen did an outstanding job. That would be one of the toughest jobs in the world and she handles it with such class and humor. She just about gave me a heart attack at 10:30 when she faked us out that it was over and they hadn't done best actor and picture.
I loved it when Bill Murray gave a surprise tribute to Harold Ramis. That was probably one of my favorite moments besides the fact that the crowd really went nuts when they announced Leonardo's name in his category! He was really the fan crowd favorite.
My heart sank a little when he didn't win it, but he's all class giving Michael McConaughey a hug. They were in Wolf of Wall Street together. Michael did a great speech.
I was surprised at the turn of events when it was all pointing to Wolf of Wall Street with the previous award shows, but I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.
In a way, I'm glad he didn't win, but he sure does put his body through some very physical stunts including cutting his hand and rolling down the stairs.
What annoys me was that there was all this hype about him beforehand and now there's like hardly anything. I was shocked at Esquire for being harsh about him wearing a classic tuxedo, but put him in the top ten anyway for being able to wear it so well. Classic is the way to go! There are not that many ways you can change up a tuxedo!
I'm not really sure how to wrap this up, but I do need to see some of the other pictures. Time for an Oscar movie night soon! Keep acting, Leonardo. Your fans love you even though the critics aka: Academy Awards don't and that's what matters and you know that.
