Well, it's been almost a month on Match.Com. It's not looking promising yet. I have no idea what to write to attract attention. I'm almost too practical, I guess. Sigh. It can be pretty tempting at times to pick the one guy that is after one thing. It takes a lot of will power to stay away from it. I don't know what to do.
I've been very thankful for my friend Kristen. We are always chatting throughout the day and she is constantly on the lookout for stuff to do. We've been to a couple of movies. Saving Mr Banks-very good and intense. I never remembered an audience just sitting there long until the credits are done just to soak it all in. I thought the actors did a remarkable job, but nothing really Oscar worthy with all the blockbusters. Sorry, Mr. Hanks.
We also saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. As much as I don't like Ben Stiller, I thought he acted and directed well. I related a lot to that movie. We're also planning to go to Orchestra Hall next month and then going cross country skiing for a singles event in March. Who know what else we're going to do in between times! Lol. Game nights for sure.
It's been very cold, but I don't mind it. Of course, I don't have to worry about thing like starting a car, driving to and from work, worrying about a house, etc. Often when I walk to work, I think of the Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder. How they had to walk in the cold,(often a mile or more), break a path in heavy dresses, etc and when they finally get to the place that they are, it's not all that warm, either. We have it pretty good.
I had a review this week. I'm very close to being certified. I'm not exactly sure what the certification is for but mainly shows that I can work on my own without being audited. For the most part, I love my group, but one girl keeps talking all the time. I feel bad for her cube partner. The lead said to just keep doing what I'm doing and that I'm doing very well! Finally, a good report!
On my church leave, I'm happy that we're getting our old worship pastor back. I'll probably come back even more then. He's so quick with his humor.
