Who are you going to call? (Disclaimer-nothing scary)

My team met up at the Kwik Trip in town and from there we headed over to the house which isn't too far from my parents. We met the family outside. I was struck by the chaos that the walk-through had. Every family member went through with us and most of the team did as well. They told us the claims. There were a couple of teenagers that possibly brought along poltergist activity along. That is one of the theories out there. Teenagers just have that aura about them that naturally draw that kind of activity. The family left and we set up equipment which took about a half an hour. A little girl kept kept seeing shadow men in her room.

I did a walk outside with Heidi. She had dousing rods that could help find spirits. Originally they were used to help find water. The rods kept going to the one corner of the yard. Heidi heard a growl and I heard a yip. I'm chalking it up to the neighbor had a dog. It had started to rain so it was making it hard to hear things clearly too. From there we went from room to room switching it up on the teams. I got to do the knock that the Ghost Hunters did to get spirits to answer. No answer. Everyone was saying that the house was too clean. Again, the team thought we heard things-but over all with the rain it was hard to hear. Kat and Heidi smudged the house to "clean it" while we packed up.

I did notice that every room had a tv in it and I'm sure that has to play with your mind. It takes a while for the mind to settle to go to sleep. Also, it is a mixed family with kids from another marriage. I'm sure that creates some feelings too. They did seem like they all liked each other though.

I enjoyed the investigation very much and felt at home with the team like I was meant to do this. How many people get to experience that? :) We don't do anything to draw out the spirits like ouji boards, etc. If they are there already than they would, in theory, come out. We don't provoke the spirits because the family has to live with the after effect.

I was able to do this because Grant Wilson on the Ghost Hunters is a Christian and he made it okay for me to pursue this more. He's going to be missed on the show. He's leaving the show to take care of some family business. I'm sure traveling all the time does not help a family. Thanks, Grant!

  1. Thanks for the disclaimer. :) You crack me up! You are beyond brave (in my opinion) to do that sort of thing. I would be a nervous wreck!!!!
