Dancing

Dance class was fun Thursday night. I got paired up with Steve, a dancer that I've known since the house lessons. He's a typical Minnesotan guy and one feels like you know him already. It's interesting to find out that some people have no preference to music whether it be live or dj'd. I have to tell him which beat to start on. It's good that I have some music background. We figured out the salsa routine and felt pretty comfortable with it.

There was a dancing practice party afterwards and we danced. I danced the foxtrot with another classmate and found that I struggled doing the foxtrot with him and the next song was a salsa one and I was back with Steve and found that I felt a lot more comfortable doing salsa than the foxtrot. It's weird how one can pick up being comfortable with one person and then another person it's not so much. I got to do the tango with Robert which is always fun.

After class Bill, another regular that I dance with, needed help with the hustle and so I got to be demo girl while he, another Rich, and Robert spun me in different directions helping Bill with the arm twists.

Anna and I, last class, told Robert about Faces and Robert said that he almost dressed up to go out with us. He felt the need to protect "his babies." It's pretty cool that we have someone like him looking out for us. We also told him about the other dancer from class that came with us about him being condensing.  Robert said that he would work on that with him. I'm kind of having a crash course on dealing with guys.

I just hope I can find a job soon so I can continue dancing.
